Project context

Phast Media is a full-service digital marketing agency with particular strength in healthcare, medical, consultant-led and professional service websites.

My connection with Phast Media goes back many years. I have worked closely with the agency in a freelance and white-label capacity, supporting website design, development, content structure and digital projects for a wide range of clients.

Because of that long-standing relationship, redesigning the Phast Media website was a natural fit. It was also a project where I understood the business, the client base, the tone, the services and the strategic balance needed between healthcare specialism and wider digital capability.

The challenge

The previous Phast Media website no longer reflected the quality, depth or direction of the agency.

Over time, the site had grown around different services, messages and design ideas. Like many established agency websites, it needed a clearer structure, stronger positioning and a more modern design system.

The redesign needed to achieve several things:

  • Create a sharper and more professional visual direction
  • Move away from older design motifs that no longer suited the brand
  • Clarify the agency's core services
  • Strengthen healthcare and Harley Street positioning without excluding wider clients
  • Improve navigation and user journeys
  • Build a stronger platform for future SEO and content growth
  • Create a website that felt more mature, confident and technically capable

The approach

The project started with structure and positioning rather than simply changing the visual design.

The aim was to create a website that clearly communicated what Phast Media does, who it helps and why its healthcare and professional services experience matters.

This included reviewing:

  • Core service pages
  • Specialist healthcare content
  • Navigation structure
  • Internal linking opportunities
  • Calls to action
  • Footer structure
  • Search and archive presentation
  • Mobile usability

The goal was to create a more focused site that still felt broad enough for the agency's full range of digital services.

Design direction

The new design needed to feel more grown-up, sharper and more technically capable.

Earlier visual ideas associated with the brand had become too playful for the direction the agency needed to take. The new site moved towards a cleaner, more confident agency aesthetic with stronger typography, clearer layouts and a more polished digital feel.

The design approach focused on:

  • Stronger visual hierarchy
  • Cleaner service sections
  • More confident use of spacing
  • Sharper calls to action
  • Modern agency-style presentation
  • Improved mobile layouts
  • Consistent orange accent styling
  • A more serious but still approachable tone

The result is a website that feels more aligned with the calibre of work Phast Media delivers for its own clients.

WordPress build and technical setup

The website was built in WordPress using Divi, with extensive use of custom layouts, styling and carefully structured page sections.

Rather than relying only on standard modules, many areas were shaped using custom HTML and CSS to create a more bespoke look while still retaining the flexibility of WordPress and Divi for ongoing management.

Key build considerations included:

  • Responsive layouts across mobile, tablet and desktop
  • Clean service architecture
  • Consistent internal linking
  • Search-friendly page structure
  • Reusable design patterns
  • Improved footer navigation

The outcome

The new Phast Media website now gives the agency a much stronger, clearer and more modern online presence.

It better reflects the agency's expertise in website design, healthcare marketing, SEO, PPC, content, branding, hosting and digital support.

It also provides a stronger platform for future content, internal linking, healthcare authority building and lead generation.

For me, it is also a useful example of the type of work I regularly do in a white-label and agency support role - strategic website design, WordPress development, content structure and practical problem-solving behind the scenes.
